MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Barry Buccaneers came up short of the championship at the 2022 ITA South Region Men's Tennis Tournament in Montgomery, Ala., but posted a solid showing.
Alejandro Ibañez Gallego, the fourth seed in the tournament, reached the finals for the third time in his career, but came up short 7-5, 7-5 to second-seeded Luca Mack of Valdosta State. There were eight "golden" points in the match, with Mack winning six.
