HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At number one, the third-ranked pair of Khazan and Bosnjak made quick work of second-ranked Espinal and Nosievici 6-3.
- Barry's Moosbacher and Farfan, the fourth-ranked duo in D-II, clinched the doubles point for the Bucs with a 6-4 victory over Snita and Dovnik at number three.
- At number two, Engelmann and Wang went unfinished with NSU up 5-4.
- In singles, the Bucs won five of six first sets.
- The top-ranked Khazan made short work of fourth-ranked Razafindranaly 6-1, 6-3, at number one, beating her for the third time this season. All three of Razafindranaly's losses have come to Khazan.
- Bosnjak was almost as efficient, beating Dovnik 6-4, 6-2 at number four.
- Farfan, clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 over Nosievici at number five.
- The other matches went unfinished.
NOTEWORTHY:
- For Barry, it is their fifth in a row and the eighth time overall to advance to the NCAA final. They have six championships and two runner-up finishes in 29 tournament appearances.
- The Bucs have now won 62 straight matches, the second-longest winning streak in program history. They won 70 in a row from the start of the 2017 season through the first 12 matches of 2019.
- Khazan, with her 30th dual match singles win against no losses, takes over the top spot on the career winning percentage list for the Bucs. The previous record was .981 (53-1) held by Razafindranaly.
- It was the third time that the Bucs and Sharks had met on the courts this year, with the Bucs winning all three.
