ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- After leading through two rounds, the sixth-ranked Barry Buccaneer held off the hard-charging Rollins Tars to win their second Sunshine State Conference women's golf championship at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club on Tuesday.
It was the Bucs' second conference tournament win, having previously taken the cup in 2015.
Alice Götbring won the individual medal, after shooting a -1 (70) today. She is the fourth Buccaneer to win the individual title after RemiJin Camping (2005), Nicole Ferre (2015) and Charlotte Puts (2017).
In addition to the Bucs, the tournament was a who's who of the best in NCAA Division II, including No. 2 Lynn, No. 4 Nova Southeastern, No. 7 Rollins, No. 14 Saint Leo, No. 15 Tampa, No. 21 Florida Southern, and No. 41 Embry-Riddle.

- Logged 39 pars and seven birdies
- Had 17 of 18 holes at par or better in the third round

- Logged 37 pars and five birdies
Nina Klug (+10) (74-74-75--223) 7th Place
- Tied for the lead with 40 pars
- Added five birdies
- Tied for second on par-3 and finished third on par-5
Giuliana Gomez (+16) (76-74-79--229) T-17th Place
- Compiled 27 pars and led the team with eight birdies, fourth in the field
- Third on the team in both par-3 and par-4 scoring
Alice Meziat (+29) (84-80-78--242) 41st Place
- Collected 26 pars and three birdies
- Combined to go only +9 on the par-3 and par-5 holes

NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry led the field in par-3 and par-5 scoring
- The Bucs had 169 pars and 28 birdies, the most holes at par or better in the field. Rollins was second at 194.
- The championship is the 95th overall for the Buccaneer athletic program and the second of the 2022 spring, after women's tennis captured the regular season title on Sunday.
ON THE HORIZON:
With the win the Bucs earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional, May 2-4 at the Grande Oaks GC in Davie, Fla., hosted by Nova Southeastern.
