Baseball Loses To Chestnut Hill

Bucs fall to 6-12

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry's baseball team lost to the Griffins of Chestnut Hill 6-3 on Monday at Feinbloom Field.

SUMMARY:

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Christian Orduna (1-1) took the loss for the Bucs. He worked five innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits and an walk. He struck out four.
  • The Bucs' bullpen or JJ Galvis, Julian Carrasquilla and Trevor Baker allowed three walks in four hitless innings of relief.
  • Will Shaffer (1-0) earned the win in his first start. In 5.0 innings, he allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and four walks. He hit a batter, threw one wild pitch in a 102-pitch outing.
  • Rockenbach worked the last four innings, giving up a run on three hits and a walk to pick up the save.
  • David Vazquez had two hits to lead the Bucs at the plate. Garrido drove in two runs.
