MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers secured a bounce-back win on Wednesday, Feb. 9., defeating the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 89-72 at the Health & Sports Center.

SUMMARY:
- 1H - Landon Kirkwood was hot in the first half for the Bucs, draining three triples on his way to 15 points in the frame. Kirkwood drained a three with 1:04 left on the clock to give the Bucs a 12-point advantage but the Sailfishes' Marcus Montalvo fired right back with a triple of his own to make it nine-point lead for the Bucs at halftime. | Bucs 44, Sailfish 35
- 2H - The Sailfish ripped off a 16-3 run to take the lead with 8:45 left to play. From there, the Bucs would take control starting with a layup by Amari Haynes followed by a Toru Dean strip-and-score. The Bucs made a statement down the stretch with a 17-4 run that would seal the deal.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Kirkwood led the Bucs in scoring with 18 points on 7-15 shooting to along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
- Two other Buccaneers posted double-doubles, with Justinas Marcinkevicius chipping in 16 points and 10 rebounds and Haynes adding 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Thank to their efforts, the Bucs once again dominated the rebounding battle 50-35.
- Alexander Gorton led the Sailfish with a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds, Jules Jasmin added 17 points.
