EDMOND, Okla. -- The Barry Buccaneers women's tennis won their second ITA Division II Women's National Team Indoor Championship after defeating No. 3 Central Oklahoma 4-0 in the final at the Edmond Center Court on Monday, Feb. 28.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Bucs are now 5-0 against teams ranked in the Top-10 of the ITA National Poll.
  • The Bucs won the initial championship in 2020, beating Hawai'i Pacific 4-0 for the title.
  • The Bucs reclaimed the Indoor championship after not being able to play in the event last season.
  • In six matches in the tournament in Edmond, the Bucs are 24-2, with five of the six matches against Top-10 competition.
  • Daniela Farfan saw her streak of 29 straight matches without losing a set end. She still has not lost a match as a Buccaneer, going 27-0.
  • Deniz Khazan and Madeline Bosnjak are also undefeated as Buccaneers, going 16-0 and 15-0 respectively. 

ON THE HORIZON

The Bucs will travel to Orlando to take on No. 5 Columbus State at the USTA Training Center on Sunday, Mar. 6.
