LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneer softball team won their first conference series of the season on Sunday, Feb. 27., defeating the Florida Southern Moccasins 9-2 and 4-3 in a pair of Sunshine State Conference games.

"It's our first conference series win of the season and it's a big deal to go out and get that done," head coach Sean Cotter said. "We got lots of contributions on offense and defense and our pitching staff was excellent. Total team wins in both games."

NOTEWORTHY:
- Maci Barnhart got wins in both games, bringing her record to a superb 7-2 on the season.
