TAMPA, Fla. -- The #16 Barry University Buccaneers women's volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-1, 25-19, 25-21) at #6 University Tampa on Friday evening in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) action at the Bob Martinez Athletic Center. The Bucs drop to 24-4 overall, and 15-3 in SSC play. The Spartans (25-3 overall) and Buccaneers split their regular-season meetings and now share the top spot in the SSC standings.

All-Time Series: Tampa leads, 48-20, but Barry has won four of the last nine meetings including a 2019 NCAA South Region Semifinal in Boca Raton.

- 1st set | In a reversal of roles from last Friday, the visiting Buccaneers took an early 4-0 lead and then led 11-5 before the Spartans mounted their comeback. - 2nd set | The Spartans built a quick seven-point cushion and actually commanded a 19-11 score before a kill from Marina Azevedo started a four-point run for the Buccaneers.
