WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers sailed past the Rollins Tars 1-0 in Sunshine State Conference women's soccer action on the strength of a shutout by keeper Emily Parrott and the first career goal from Tessa Evans on Friday afternoon at Sandspur Field.

SUMMARY:

• 53:53 - Tessa Evans got the Bucs on the board in the second half, taking the ball away from a Tars defender and lofting a shot over the out-stretched hands of 5-3 goalie Michelle Fickett and into the net. | Barry 1, Rollins 0

NOTEWORTHY:

• Barry out-shot Rollins 15-7, including 8-6 on goal.
• Parrott made six saves, including a spectacular punch over the crossbar in the 67th minute on a shot by Kayla Park.
• Fickett had seven saves for Rollins, but came up short on the goal.
• It was the first career goal for freshman Evans.
• The win ties Barry with Saint Leo with 13 points in conference play, clinching a tournament berth. Barry owns the tie-breaker, having beating the Lions 2-0 on Sept. 24.
