SUMMARY:

  • 1H - Michael Schaefer carried the Bucs out of the gates, scoring eight of Barry's first ten points including two strong buckets in the lane and a triple from the top of the arc. A Jake Kake trey on an assist from Toru Dean with 15:35 left gave the Bucs a 13-6 lead. The Mocs responded with a 7-0 run to tie things up before a Justinas Marcinkevicius hook shot gave the Bucs the lead again.  After a few buckets from the Mocs, Marcinkevicius came up big again, scoring a reverse layup and then finishing another layup through contact on Barry's next possession. The Lithuanian sank the subsequent free-throw to knot things up at 24 with 7:31 left. Shortly after, Marcelo Perez checked into the game and immediately made an impact, scoring on back-to-back possessions to make the lead 35-29 for the Bucs. Schaefer's scoring efforts began opening up buckets for his teammates such as Dean who he found for a corner trey to give the Bucs a 41-33 lead with under a minute left. | Bucs 41, Mocs 33
  • 2H - The Bucs went right back to the well coming out of the locker room with Schaefer and Marcinkevicius each scoring on the Bucs first two possessions. After a Kakar three and a Dean bucket on a fast break, the Bucs stretched their lead to 14 and forced a Mocs timeout shortly after. Barry didn't let up, scoring at will over the next five minutes. Milon Scheffield sliced through the defense and scored a finger-roll layup at the rim to give the Bucs a 70-48 lead with 12:30 left. The Bucs never looked back and ultimately Barry cruised to a 30-point victory. | Bucs 100, Mocs 70
