LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers' Alejandro Ibañez Gallego added to his decorated career at the ITA Regional on Sunday and Monday, Sep. 27-28 at Florida Southern College, winning his second ITA South Region title in a row.
Five Bucs competed in singles(Alessandro Giuliato, Alejandro Ibañez Gallego, Alejandro Palacios, Ignasi Forcano, and Hugo Cazaban) while Barry also fielded three doubles teams(Cazaban/Martin Gutierrez, Arnau Rodriguez/Tim Büttner, and Giuliato/Forcano).
Teams from the Sunshine State Conference, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Gulf South Conference comprised the field: Barry (BARRY), Lynn (LU), Florida Southern (FSC), Saint Leo, (SLU), Eckerd (EC), Embry-Riddle (ERAU), Palm Beach Atlantic (PBA), West Florida (UWF), West Alabama (UWA), Valdosta State (VSU),, Delta State (DSU), Auburn-Montgomery (AUM), Montevallo (UM).

ON THE HORIZON
Ibañez Gallego advances to the ITA Cup October 14-17, 2021 in Rome, Ga. The rest of the Bucs look forward to the Buccaneer Invitational that starts on Saturday, Nov. 6.
