MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The second-ranked Barry Buccaneer will now look to compete for their 12th Sunshine State Conference Women's Tennis Championship after defeating the Lynn Fighting Knights in the tournament semifinal 4-0 on Wednesday, Apr. 21.

- Due to impending inclement weather, the match started with the six singles. As Barry won the first four, the match was then halted.
- Barry has seven singles players undefeated on the season, led by Farfan at 8-0. Khazan, Bosnjak, and Razafindranaly are all 7-0.
- Barry is 47-3 over all in singles this year.
- Barry has a chance to break their tie with Lynn for the most SSC Tournament Championships on Saturday. The Bucs and Knights have each won 11 titles, the most among conference school.
- Since 1998, no other team has won a tournament title, with all 22 going to either the Bucs or the Knights. The 2020 tournament was canceled due to CoVID-19.
- Razafindranaly is on pace to break the school record for winning percentage set in 2019 by Carolin Schmidt. Schmidt went 35-2 in two years with the Bucs for a .946 percentage. Razafindranaly is currently 54-1 for a .982 percentage.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs host the SSC Tournament Championship match on Saturday, Apr. 24. They wil face the #2 seeded Nova Southeastern Sharks who beat Saint Leo 4-0 in the semifinals today. Match time is still to be determined.
