All-Time Series: Barry leads 57-36

SUMMARY:
GAME ONE:

  • T1 - The Bucs pushed across three runs in the first. After Andrew Rapoza was hit by pitch and Willie Escala walked, both runners moved up on a wild pitch by Sailfish starter Drew Holweger. Rapoza scored on a gound out by Ihosvany Casteneda. Richie Sobalvarro followed with an RBI single and Bran Socorro capped the inning with a two-run single. | Barry 4, PBA 0
  • T2 - Rapoza walked with one out and stole second. He scored on a base hit by Casteneda. | Barry 5, PBA 0
  • T4 - Ariel Diaz and Blake Brito led off the inning with back-to-back doubles down the right field line. Brito later scored on a double play. | Barry 7, PBA 0
  • B9 - The Sailfish finally got on the board in the ninth. They loaded the bases on a walk, infield single and error. Landon Morrison drew a walk to force a run and Ramon Machado laced a double to left to score two runs. Ben Terwilliger came on in relief to strike out two of the three men he faced.

SUMMARY:
GAME TWO:

  • T2 - Ariel Diaz walked and stole second. He scored ahead of a Omar Baldo single. | Barry 1, PBA 0
  • B4 - Sean Houck led off with a double and scored on a two-out single by Carlos Lara. | Barry 1, PBA 1
  • T5 - Barry broke the game open in the fifth by batting around, with the help of some timely hitting and some PBA defensive miscues. Steven Torres led off with a single and was balked to second by Sailfish starter Matt Leslie. Rapoza singled to send Torres to third. With runners on the corners, Escala dropped down a perfect squeeze bunt to give the Bucs back the lead. After a fielder's choice erased Rapoza at third, Sobalvarro was intentionally walked. David Vazquez bounced a ball back up the middle that shortstop Houck couldn't come up with, bringing Escala home. Casteneda scored on a wild pitch and Diaz capped the scoring with a two-run double. | Barry 6, PBA 1
  • B7 - Pinch hitter Franklin Mundo, Jr., reached on an error and scored when Machado laced another double down the left-field line. | Barry 6, PBA 2
