WHAT ARE THEY SAYING:

Game One:
  • B6 - The Bucs headed to the sixth inning down 1-0 to NSU. Taylor Checkley reached on a fielders choice, scoring Erin Scanlon to tie the game. Then, Maggie Wheless blasted a three-run home run to dead center to give Barry a commanding three run lead. | Barry 4, NSU 1
  • T7 - Unbelievably, the Sharks answered right back with a three-run home run of their own to tie the game and send us into extra innings | Barry 4, NSU 4
  • B8 - After back-to-back singles by Checkley and Wheless, Payton Germer delivered the walk-off hit that scored Checkley and gave Barry the win in game one. | Barry 5, NSU 4
Game Two
  • B1 - With runners on runners on second and third, Wheless drove in another run for the Bucs after grounding out. | Barry 1, NSU 0
  • B4-  The Bucs found themselves trailing 3-2, but Kayla Posten drilled a ball to the fence for a double. Scanlon would come in to pitch run with Cassandra Lee at the plate. This would be the first start of the year for Lee where she was in the lineup. Her only other at-bat came in a pinch-hit role against Tampa. Lee would take advantage of the opportunity with a run scoring double. | NSU 3, Barry 2
  • B5 - After a walk and stolen base by Checkley, Megan Ballash singled up the midde to score the third run of the game for the Bucs. | NSU 6, Barry 3
NOTEWORTHY:
  • Wheless and Checkley each had two hits in game one
  • Whelees finished with four RBI on the day
  • Checkley has reached base safely in eight of the last 10 games.
