MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University women's golf head coach Shannon Sykora signed another standout player to join the Buccaneers for 2021, bringing on Venezuelan Camila Marquez. Marquez finished in a tie for first at the PGA South Floirda Junior Challenge on July 5, 2019 and is the president of the national honor society at her high school.

"We are very happy that Camila is joining the Buc family," said Sykora, "She is an outstanding young women and talented player."

Barry has been one of the the top teams in NCAA Division II over the last 20+ years. The Bucs have advanced to the NCAA Tournament 15 times, including making the finals six times. They have had 22 All-Americans WGCA All-Americans and 57 Scholar All-Americans. In addition, Tilda Larsson was named the Collegiate Women's Sports Awards/Honda Women's Golf Athlete of Year and the PING WGCA Division II Player of the Year in 2018.
