MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The Bucs split a pair of games today on the road against Florida Tech after taking two from them earlier this week in Miami Shores. Trailing 1-0, the Bucs scored four runs in the fifth inning to take the first game 4-3. In game two, Barry pounded out seven hits, but was unable to capitalize with runners on base falling to the Panthers 4-0.

- B1 - The Panthers jumped on Barry right away with an RBI double to take the lead | FT 1, Barry 0
- T5 - Savannah Starling singled followed up by Belin Colvin reaching base on a fielders choice. Ayana Andrade-Zygmunt pinch ran for Colvin and Coach Cotter called for a double-steal. Runners advanced to put the Bucs in a nice spot with runners on second and third, one out. Megan Ballash singled to left field driving in Starling. A throwing error by the Panthers allowed Andrade-Zygmunt to score and give the Bucs the lead. An RBI single by Maggie Wheless and and a walk by Maddy Graham with the bases loaded tack on two more runs of the Buccaneers. | Barry 4, FT 1
Game Two
- T1 - Taylor Thompson led things off with a base-hit for the Bucs, but Taylor Checkley would line out with Thompson getting doubled up on the play. It would be the first of two double-plays in the game. | Barry 0, FT 0
- B1 - FT jumped right on Barry for the second straight game, scoring three runs on two hits. | FT 3, Barry 0
- T2 - Payton Germer doubled to left field in what looked to be another promising inning for the Bucs. The trend of the night would be runners left on base as Barry hit safely in five of the seven innings, but unable to drive those base-runners home.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry took 3-of-4 from the Panthers this week.
- Wheless hit .333 in the four games against FT.
- Barnhart earned the victory in game one against the Panthers. In the two games against FT this week she pitched 14 innings, allowed four earned runs and struck out 12.
