MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 72-64 to the Saint Leo Lions in the Sunshine State Conference women's basketball quarterfinals in the HSC on Tuesday night.

SUMMARY:
	- 1Q - The Bucs got off on the right foot early. Barry Jumped out to a 13-6 lead. The Lions cut it to two, 13-11 at the 3:56 mark. Barry responded with a 10-0 run to close the period  | Barry 23, SLU 11
 
	- 2Q - Early in the second quarter, the Bucs pushed the lead to 17, 31-14, on a three-pointer by Chiara Fusari at the 7:27 mark. But the Lions clawed back to trim the lead to just seven at the break.  | Barry 41, SLU 34
 
	- 3Q - Things went south for the Bucs early in the third. The Lions took their first lead of the game 43-42 on a three-point play by Alani Gallagher at the 6:10 mark. The game was tied four more times in the period. With Barry up 53-50 after a Trinity Bosecker offensive rebound basket, the Lions scored the last five points.  | Saint Leo 55, Barry 53
 
	- 4Q - Tied 58-58 with 7:56 left, Saint Leo scored eight unanswered points over the next 3:39. Barry cut the lead to three, 66-63 on a three-point play by Ashleigh Pink with 1:39 to play. But Casey O'Shaughnessy drilled a three-pointer on the next possession for the Lions and they held off a Barry rally to take the win.  | SLU 72, Barry 64
 
NOTEWORTHY:
	- Fusari led the BUcs with 14 points, while Harriet Swindells added 10 points, all in the second half. 
 
	- Trinity Bosecker had a game-high 11 rebounds, but the Lions won the battle on the boards 44-35.
 
	- Amanda Ulrich came off the bench with 16 points t pace the Lions. Kiki McIntyre had 2 and O'Shaughnessy added 10.
 
	- The Bucs connected at only 25 percent from the floor in the second half.
