Women's Soccer Flies Past Tritons 2-0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-- The Barry Buccaneers added to their win column with a 2-0 victory over Eckerd College in a Sunshine State Conference women's soccer match at Johnson Field in St. Petersburg on Saturday, Oct. 30.

SUMMARY:

  • 22:31 - Ari Cerezuela score the first goal off a shot from long distance as she saw the opptuinity to captialize of the Eckerd keeper whom was playing forward outside the box. | Barry 1, Eckerd 0
  • 54:30 -  Bucs earned a corner kick and Lauren Hall served up a beautiful ball inside the box. Tash Hudson headed the ball into goal for the dagger to seal the game for the Bucs. | Barry 2, Eckerd 0

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Bucs keeper Maddie Hart-Pomerantz had seven saves for the night to record her fourth shutout.
  • Tritons Keeper Morgan Flemming had five saves, and was helped by her defense which swpet a ball off the line, but took the loss. 
  • The Bucs and Tritons both had ten shots, however the Bucs led 8-7 shots on goal.   

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs travels to up the road to West Palm Beach, Fla., on Tuesday, Nov 2 for the final conference matchup of the season with the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish at Rinker Athletic Campus. Kick off is at 6pm.
