LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers fell to the NAIA fifth-ranked Southeastern Flames 74-65 at The Furnace on Saturday night in women's basketball pre-season action.

SUMMARY:

• 1Q - The Flames opened the game ona 7-0 run and never really looked back. Haley Howarth scored half the points for the Flames in the period. | Southeastern 20, Barry 18
• 2Q - The second quarter was dead even, as both teams made five field goals in the period. Ashia Pool led the Bucs with seven points. | Southeastern 34, Barry 32
• 3Q - The Flames slowly pulled away in the second half. Despite shooting 42.9 percent from three-point range in the period, the Bucs fell three more points behind at the third. | Southeastern 54, Barry 49
• 4Q - The Flames iced the game at the line in the fourth quarter, out-scoring the Bus 8-3 from the stripe. Harriet Swindells hit a couple of three-pointers, but it wasn't enough. | Southeastern 74, Barry 65

NOTEWORTHY:

• Swindells led the Bucs with 14 points, while Pool chipped in 11.
• Angela Perry led three Flames in double figures with 24 points, shooting 10-of-13 from the field.
• Barry out-rebounded the Flames 44-36, led by eight boards for Emma Hergot.
