MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneers took on Caldwell University for a double-header at Buccaneer Field on Tuesday afternoon, splitting the two games with the Cougars. Barry took game one 7-4, but failed to sweep CU after dropping game two 4-1.

SUMMARY:
Game One
- B1 - After the Cougars took the lead in top half of the inning, Barry answered with back-to-back extra base hits from Kayla Posten who doubled, followed up by a Taylor Checkley RBI triple. Berlin Colvin drove in Checkley with an RBI single back up the middle | Barry 2, CU 1
- B2 - Payton Rawls led the inning drawing a walk and advanced to third base after a pair of ground outs by the Bucs. With two outs, Courtney Chisholm singled to the left side scoring Rawls | Barry 3, CU 1
- T4 - Casandra Lee gave up three runs to the Cougars, but only one was earned. Caldwell left two runners stranded in the inning | CU 4, Barry 3
- B4 - Barry's third extra-base hit of the game tied things up when Rawls doubled scoring Michelle Roldan who had drawn a walk earlier in the inning | Barry 4, CU 4
- B5 - With the bases loaded, Payton Germer delivered with a huge two RBI single. Roldan followed that up with another base hit to give Barry a three run lead | Barry 7, CU 4
Game Two
- B4 - Barry picked up their only run of game two on a suicide squeeze bunt put down by Peyton Rawls that scored Payton Germer with one out | CU 3, Barry 1
- T7 - Going into the inning, the Buccaneers starting pitcher Jordanna Hartley had gone four straight innings without allowing a run after giving up runs in the first and second | CU 4, Barry 1
NOTEWORTHY:
- The eight strikeouts by Hartley in game two are a personal and team season-high
- In her last five appearances, Lee is 3-0 with a 2.13 ERA in 23 innings of work
- Colvin has hit safely in her last four games
