Softball Sets Season-High In Runs Against Lions

MIAMI SHORES, FLA. -- The Buccaneers recorded a season-high 13 runs in a win in the second game of their double-header against Georgian Court on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Game One

  • B1 - The Bucs got on board first after a Taylor Checkley single and an RBI groundout by Berlin Colvin. | Barry 1, GC 0
  • T7 -  Georgian Court blew the game open in the final inning, recording four hits and four runs in the frame to take a three-run lead. | GC 5, Barry 2

SUMMARY:
Game Two

  • B1 - Barry once again got off to a hot start after another play by Checkley, this time with an RBI after bringing home Courtney Chisolm who singled earlier in the inning. | Barry 1, GC 0
  • B2 - The second inning brought more offense for the Bucs. Jasmine Santiago recorded a play for the highlight tape after singling on a bunt, stealing second, and proceeding to score after a wild throw on her way to third. | Barry 5, GC 0
  • B4 - The Barry Blowout commenced in the fourth frame when the Bucs tallied eight runs on four hits. Barry ultimately ended up finishing the inning with bases loaded and a ten-run lead.
