All-Time Series: Tampa leads 44-30
SUMMARY:
- Evan Walshe sunk two attempts from the charity stripe at the 15:01 mark to cap off a 13-5 run to start the game for the Bucs. Walshe would go on to connect on three more attempts from the free throw line along with Tylan Birts converting on four out of five attempts from the field to put the Bucs up by six going into halftime.
- Barry hounded the Spartan offense all second half, holding Tampa to 40.4 percent shooting from the field including an abysmal 16.7 percent from the three-point line. Combine these numbers with the fact that Barry was able to sink eight buckets from downtown on 52.4 percent shooting from the field and you have a recipe for a blowout.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Four different Buccaneers scored in double figures with all nine players who checked in scoring at least five points.
- It was the first time this season that the Bucs have held opponents under 20 percent shooting from the field while simultaneously converting from those same shots at over a 50 percent clip.
