MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers continued their early-season run with an 11-1 win over the Yellow Jackets of American International on Friday afternoon at Feinbloom Field. The Bucs ran their program-best win streak to open the season to eight games.

- B7 - The Bucs broke the game open in the seven with five runs. After a single by Sobalvarro and a walk to Matos, Diaz smashed a three-run homer to left. Then, with two outs, JC Garcia got a two-run rally started with a single to left. Rapoza followed with a walk and both runners stole the next base. NOTEWORTHY:
- Gayman picked up the win for the Bucs. He allowed an unearned run on six hits and a walk in five innings. He struck out seven, including three in the first inning after giving up a single and a double to the first two batters.
- Joe Kemlage (0-1) took the loss for the Yellow Jackets. In three innings of work, he allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits and four walks. He struck out three.
- Diaz led the Bucs at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI.
- Cabrera was 2-for-4 and drove in three. Rapoza scored three runs and stole three bases.
