ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. -- The Buccaneers split a pair of games in double-header action to Georgia Southwestern State on Friday during the Flagler Invitational. Flagler College hosted the tournament as the Buccaneers dropped the first game against GSW 12-4 and won the second 10-2 against the Hurricanes.

- T6 - The Buccaneers' comeback attempt came up short after Taylor Checkley tried stealing home and ended the inning. The Busc scored four runs to cut the Hurricanes lead 7-4 with RBIs from Lee and Checkley | GSW 7, Barry 4

- T1 - Things got off to a rocky start for the Bucs starting pitcher Sarah Johnson who gave up a home run with two outs | GSW 1, Barry 0
- B1 - Barry answered right back, first with an RBI single from Berlin Colvin followed by a two run home run from Payton Germer | Barry 3, GSW 1
- B3 - The Bucs started the inning with three consecutive hits and tacked on four more runs with RBIs from Courtney Chisholm and Ayana Andrade-Zygmunt | Barry 7, GSW 1
- T5 - Johnson gave up another run to GSW, but earned the win in a complete game allowing two runs on five hits | Barry 7, GSW 2

NOTEWORTHY:
- Germer went 5-for-6 on the day with a home run and two RBI.
- Chisholm went 5-for-8 with two runs and two stolen bases.
ON THE HORIZON:
Barry will continue playing in the Flagler Invitational tomorrow against the host, Flagler College. Game one of a double-header against the Saints is set for an 11am first pitch.
