MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry Buccaneers defended their home court and improved to a perfect 7-0 at the Health & Sports Center on Saturday afternoon against Saint Leo. No. 25-ranked Barry took down the Lions 3-1 26-24, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23 who received votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll.

SUMMARY:
- 1st set | The Bucs were able to steal this set with the Lions controlling the pagfgce for the majority of it until Barry made an 11-3 run to close things out. Megi Buvinic was all over defensively with eight digs.
- 2nd set | Barry's offense nearly doubled their attack percentage from the first set going from .143 to .256. Buvinic (5) and Kristina Filimonova (6) led the Buccaneer offense in kills.
- 3rd set | The Bucs did their best to take the match in straight sets, but the Lions would not go away easily. Barry's offense continued to excel boasting a match-high .295 attack percentage, but Saint Leo played impressive volleyball in the set with a sideout percentage of 68 and atftack percentage of .375.
- 4th set | Brittany Reynolds and Kishara Gordon set the tone early defensively at the net for Barry. The Bucs finished with five team blocks and held the Lions to an attack percentage of .000.
NOTEWORTHY:.
- Buvinic (16k/16d) and Bianca Paşca (45a/12d) each recorded double-doubles for the Bucs. It was Buvinic's sixth double-double in 12 games.
- Audren Rose recorded a season-high 28 digs. She is 78 digs away from becoming the 8th Buccaneer player to record 1,000 digs in their career
- Barry had three players in double-figure kills; Filimonova, Gordon and Buvinic.
