ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The top-seeded Barry Buccaneers won 4-0 over the fourth-seeded Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship on Thursday.
The Bucs carried the doubles point 2-1 and won at number one, five and three singles.

NOTEWORTHY:
- The Buccaneers advance to the national championship match for the 11th time, extending their own NCAA Division II record. The Bucs have played for the national title in nine of the last 12 seasons.
- Barry will play #2 Columbus State for the championship. The Cougars defeated the 2016 champs Hawai'i Pacific 4-1. The title match reprises last year's final, won 5-4 by Columbus State.
- The Bucs and Cougars played earlier this year in Orlando, with Barry winning 7-0.
- The win at #3 for Gomez was his 20th of the season, best on the team, and 15th straight.
- The Bucs won the doubles point for the 25th time this season in 26 matches.
