MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneers lost a three game series against Eckerd at Buccaneer Field on Friday afternoon. The Sunshine State Conference opponent took down the Bucs by the score of 11-1 on the final home game of the season for Barry.

WHAT ARE THEY SAYING:
"We had the opportunity to finish above .500 at home coming into the weekend and fell short of that, but we played well at home this season. Hopefully that carries over and improves next year. SUMMARY:
- T1 - Eckerd jumped on the Bucs with 11 runs on six hits that included a grand slam by Kaylin Kramer. | EC 11, Barry 0
- B3 - The Bucs loaded the bases with three straight singles by Karla Santiago, Courney Chisolm and Lynsey Duncan. Duncan's single scored Santiago and gave Barry their only run of the game. Eckerd was able to get out of the inning without any further damage. | EC 11, Barry 1
NOTEWORTHY:
- Despite the rough first inning by Barry's starting pitcher Andrea Johnson, the freshman excelled through the next four innings giving up just one hit.
- After Duncan's double in the first inning she now has 39 career doubles, moving her into eighth all-time in program history.
ON THE HORIZON:
Barry will wrap-up the 2019 season on Friday, April 26th in Daytona Beach, Fla in a three game series against Embry-Riddle. First pitch for game one is set for 7:00 PM.
