MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer softball team battled for seven innings in game one of a Sunshine State Conference series against Nova Southeastern at home. Barry fell 7-5 at Buccaneer Field on Saturday afternoon. There were four lead changes and two ties in game one as the Bucs continue to have quality at-bats despite not coming away with wins.

- B1 - The Buccaneers struck first when Peyton Rawls hit her second home run of the season over the left-field fence. | Barry 1, NSU 0
- T2 - NSU answered right back with a home run of their own. This one however, was a two-run shot that gave the Sharks the lead. | NSU 2, Barry 1
- B3 - The Bucs scored three runs in the inning, with the first one coming on a bases-loaded walk drawn by Andrea Johnson. Later in the inning, Fallon Dragich hit a ground-ball to the shortstop that was misplayed and allowed Savannah Starling and Rawls to score, regaining the lead for the Bucs. | Barry 4, NSU 2

- T5 - Nova Southeastern's second home run of the game gave the Sharks the lead back. | NSU 5, Barry 4
- B5 - That lead wouldn't last long as Lynsey Duncan hit her first triple this season. However, during the next at bat, Starling hit a ground ball to third and Duncan was thrown out at home. After stealing second, Starling came in to score when Rawls connected on another extra base hit, this time hitting a double to left-center and tying the ball game once again. | NSU 5, Barry 5

- B7 - After NSU took the lead in the six innings, Barry loaded the bases with one out, giving them a golden opportunity to walk-off on the Sharks. Johnson was up to bat and hit a scorching line drive back to the pitcher. NSU's pitcher was able to turn two after throwing home and then the catcher throwing to first to get the Sharks out of the inning and seal the win in game one. NSU 7, Barry 5
