BOCA RATON, FLA. -- The Buccaneers are over .500 in Sunshine State Conference play for the first time since the 2017 season. Barry took game one of a three game series from Lynn 7-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Lynn Softball Field.

WHAT ARE THEY SAYING:
"Obviously, Gabby Vallee threw well," Bucs head coach Sean Cotter said. "Courtney Chisolm had a big pinch-hit at-bat in the seventh and we were able to manufacture runs late," Cotter added. After the fourth inning today, the Bucs had gone scoreless in the last 23 innings. After tying it up in the fifth, Barry exploded with six runs in the seventh.

- T7 - Chisolm pinch-hit for Jordyn Petty and singled to third base. Santiago would follow with another base-hit and double-steal with Chisolm to get runners on second and third, one out. Then, Lynn would walk back-to-back Buccaneers, giving Barry the lead when Savannah Starling earned an RBI after drawing a walk. NOTEWORTHY:
- Despite going 1-2 in her last three starts, Vallee has a 1.84 ERA in 19 innings with 11 strikeouts in that span.
- Vallee came into today's game as the SSC's leader in strikeouts this season with 79.
- In her last 4-of-6 games, Dragich has hit safely and recorded six RBI in that span.
