Men's Tennis Flatlines Flagler

The Buccaneer men's tennis team served up the season on a high note, dominating No. 6 Flagler by a 6-1 margin

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer men's tennis team shined in their season-opening match against No.6 Flagler College on Saturday Feb. 9 at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex, winning all but one matchup which went to a super-tiebreaker. Pierre Montrieul, the second-ranked singles player in the country, brought over his dominance from the fall into the new year. Montrieul seized a sound victory over Flagler's Lukas Storke in singles after teaming up with Blake Bayldon to capture a 6-2 victory in the Bucs first duo match. The Bucs only loss on the day was Alejandro Palacios' first match in a Buccaneer uniform. Palacios rallied back from a rough start to capture the second set 6-3 but came up just short in a super-tiebreaker.
