MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers swept a double-header against East Stroudsburg on Friday at Buccaneer Field during the Bucs' opening weekend at home. Barry took game one vs. the Warriors 7-5 and took game two by the final score of 12-9.

SUMMARY:
Game One
	- B1 - After back-to-back singles by Berlin Colvin and Lynsey Duncan, Andrea Johnson blasted her first home run of the season over the left field fence to give the Bucs an early lead over the Warriors. | Barry 3, ESU 0
 
	- B3 - The Bucs picked up three more runs in the third. Taylor Checkley and Karla Santiago each drove in a run for Barry, while Johnson scored on a wild pitch. | Barry 6, ESU 0
 
	- T5 - Barry spotted ESU a few runs in the fifth to make matters interesting. Johnson would walk four Warriors and toss three wild pitches, but managed to get out of the inning. A well-turned double-play from Santiago-to-Ayana Andrade-Zygmunt-to-Jordyn Petty helped the Bucs escape the inning with the lead. | Barry 7, ESU 5
 
SUMMARY:
Game Two 
	- T1 - The Warriors jumped on the Bucs' starting pitcher Gabby Vallee with two runs on three hits. | ESU 2, Barry 0
 
	- B2 - Savannah Starling doubled down the left field line, followed by a Checkley base-hit back at the pitcher. Back-to-back walks by Santiago and Andrade-Zygmunt gave Barry their first run of the game and Andrade-Zygmunt an RBI. Barry would cash in on a pair of wild pitches and some stolen bases to put up a five spot and take the lead. |  Barry 5, ESU 3 
 
	- B5 - RBI's by Andrade-Zygmunt, Taylor Randazzo and Starling gave Barry their second five run inning of the game. The Buccaneers left two on base with a total of six hits in the inning. 
 
NOTEWORTHY:
	- Checkley went 5-for-6 on the day, scoring five runs. 
 
	- Vallee picked up her second save in four games. She came in relief of Johnson during game, throwing two innings while striking out four Warriors. She also picked up her first career win during game two. Vallee went the distance, tossing seven innings while striking out six.
 
	- Duncan and Andrade-Zygmunt each went 4-for-6 on Friday with Duncan scoring four runs and Andrade-Zygmunt stepping on home plate twice to go along with two RBI's. Andrade-Zygmunt is currently leading the team in batting average and RBI this season, going 8-for-12 (.667) with 8 RBI in eight games. 
 
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs continue opening weekend at home in Miami Shores with another double-header tomorrow afternoon against Emporia State University. First pitch for game one has been changed to 3:00 PM at Buccaneer Field.
