Swindells' 19 Points Not Enough for Women's Hoops vs. ERAU

The Buccaneers fell to the Embry-Riddle Eagles despite leading 38-28 at the half.

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer women's basketball team was defeated at home by the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Wednesday, Feb. 6 inside the Health & Sports Center. Barry held a 10-point lead at halftime with senior Ida Andersson tallying 12-of-her-16 points in the first half. A late 9-2 run in the third quarter gave the Eagles the lead for good.

  • Swindells tied her season-high with 19 points to go with five rebounds and five assists.
  • The Eagles dominated the boards, winning the rebound battle 44-33; including 11 offensive rebounds.
  • Barry showed success defensively in the paint, swatting seven shots in the contest.

ON THE HORIZON:

The Buccaneers will travel to St. Petersburg on Saturday, Feb. 9 to take on the Eckerd Tritons. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm at the McArthur Center.
