MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer women's tennis team won their first conference match of the season on Sunday, taking down the Embry-Riddle Eagles 6-1 at the Buccaneer Tennis Center in Miami Shores, Fla. While Embry-Riddle hasn't had the best start to the season, they gave the Bucs everything they had on what felt like the hottest day in months. Nonetheless, the Bucs prevailed, dominating most of the morning and taking home the victory.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
"We are very happy to get the our first conference win of the season. Embry-Riddle came and played very well and we knew it was going to be a good match. I think we played pretty well in both doubles and singles. We had a couple of women who were injured but the other players stepped up and overall played pretty well. I'm just happy to get this win. Now we will move forward and continue." -- Head coach Avi Kigel
