WHAT ARE THEY SAYING:
"Vallee was great," Bucs head coach Sean Cotter said. "She was dealing really from the first pitch. When she's got her stuff going, she's really hard to hit. She changes speeds and keeps [hitters] off-balance," Cotter added. "Taylor Randazzo probably gets lost in the shuffle laying down a great bunt down," [in the inning Barry scored their two runs]. She was able to move Andrea Johnson over," giving the Buccaneers the go-ahead run.
SUMMARY:
- T4 - Vallee had a no-hitter heading into the fourth inning when PBA recorded their first hit of the game on a bunt. | Barry 0, PBA 0
- B4 - In true Sean Cotter fashion, the Buccaneers manufactured a pair of runs to give Barry the lead for good. Johnson drew a walk on a full count and advanced to second after Randazzo's sac bunt. Johnson would take third after a PBA wild pitch. Savannah Starling would draw another walk and charge for second base following the base-on-balls. PBA's catcher threw to second and Johnson was able to steal home. During Jordyn Petty's at-bat, Starling stole third and scored on a fielding error by the Sailfish third-baseman. | Barry 2, PBA 0
NOTEWORTHY:
- In the last two games, Vallee (2-0) has gone 14 innings without allowing a run. She has given up seven hits and just one base-on-balls.
- Lynsey Duncan continues to get on base at the leadoff spot for the Bucs, recording a hit in the last 9-of-11 games.
ON THE HORIZON:
