WHAT ARE THEY SAYING:
"I think this is just an example of our team growing and showing their youth," Bucs head coach Sean Cotter said when asked about the effect the rain delay might have had on his team. "Maybe we didn't really handle that the best way [possible]. It was the first time we go through it this season and we have to figure out a way to a little bit better."
The Bucs starting pitcher Andrea Johnson took the Warriors down in order in the first inning and stayed in the game after the rain delay. Johnson struggled in the second inning, allowing four runs on two hits. "AJ is sacrificing herself a little bit," Cotter said. "Despite not recruiting her to pitch for us, due to certain circumstances she will be asked to throw a lot of innings for us. She has a little command problems right now, but every time she goes out she is getting better and better," Cotter added.
