MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry dropped a home game to St. Thomas University 10-1 in five innings on Monday afternoon at Buccaneer Field.

- B5 - Jordyn Petty singled down the left field line and then checked out of the game for Kechelle Robinson to pinch run. After a fielders choice, Karla Santiago reached first with Robinson out at second. An Arianna Diaz base hit back up the middle moved Santiago to second, who later scored on a error by the Bobcats when they tried to turn a Lynsey Duncan grounder into a double play.
NOTEWORTHY:
- After today, Barry is second in the Sunshine State Conference in total runs scored (52) this season.
- Through the first 10 games, the Buccaneers have five players hitting over .300 - Savannah Starling (.346), Duncan (.419), Santiago (.429), Taylor Checkley (.433) and Ayana Andrade-Zygmunt (.529).
- Checkley and Duncan are currently tied for first in runs scored (11) among all SSC individuals.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs continue their 12-game home stand at Buccaneer Field on Friday when they open up SSC play against Rollins College. The Tars are currently 5-0 and sit atop the conference. First pitch is set for 6:00 PM with games two and three of the season coming on Saturday in a double-header set to begin at 1:00 PM.
