Women's Basketball | 11/7/2019 3:08:00 PM

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry women's basketball team tips off 2018-19 at the SSC/GSC Challenge on Friday and Saturday this weekend, at the SSC/GSC Challenge at Delta State in Cleveland, Miss. The Bucs face the Delta State Lady Statesmen on Friday and take on the Union Bulldgos on Saturday.

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING:

"We lost some very good players, including All-SSC guard Ida Andersson, but we have a great core back this season and some outstanding recruits who will bolster the team. I think, with the improved depth on our roster at all positions, the strong competition will benefit everyone. We are also proud of the fact that all of our recruits are outstanding students who excel in the classroom as well as on the court. We can't wait to begin working with this talented group of student-athletes." -- Barry University head coach Bill Sullivan
