MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Buccaneers dropped a tough match against Eckerd College inside the Health & Sports Center 3-2 on senior night. Eight members of the team were recognized by head coach Steve Hendricks and his staff for their contributions to the Buccaneer volleyball program. Barry fell 25-11, 25-27, 25-22, 27-25, 5-15.

SUMMARY:
- 1st set | The Bucs came out strong in the first set, winning the set 25-11 while hitting .312. Kristina Filimonova had five kills and Megi Buvinic added three kills.
- 2nd set | Barry earned set point at 24-23 after Buvinic put a ball away set by Bianca Pasca. Eckerd responded with a 4-1 rally to take the set and even the match 1-1.
- 3rd set | The Buccaneers looked impressive early on taking a 5-0 lead. The Tritons mounted a rally and took the lead, but the Bucs held off the Tritons to come back and win the set 25-23.
- 4th set | Another back-and-forth set that included 13 ties went to the Tritons. Each team scratched and clawed their way to find points as both teams finished the set with a negative attack percentage.
- 5th set | Eckerd ran away with the set taking a 10-3 lead over Barry. The Tritons offense emerged, hitting .455.
NOTEWORTHY:.
- The Buccaneers set a season-high 18 team blocks in the loss.
- Buvinic recorded a career-high 27 digs and her team-leading 12th double-double of the season.
- Three players finished with 20+ digs (Buvinic, Filimonova and Audren Rose).
