SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Barry Buccaneers earned a tough road win over the Saint Leo Lions in five sets to sweep the season series and frog-leap the green and gold in the Sunshine State Conference Standings. 

INSIDE THE MATCHUPS:

SUMMARY:

• 1^st set | Despite being out hit .238 to .077, the Buccaneers were able to keep things close throughout the match with seven ties and four lead changes. 
• 2^nd set | Megi Buvinic has taken her play to another level in the last three matches, playing some of the best volleyball of her career. The senior recorded five kills and six digs. 
• 3^rd set | Barry was in control during the set leading by as many as nine multiple times in the set. 
• 4^th set | The Lions did not go down easily, forcing the match to a fith and deciding set with a match-high .424 hitting percentage. 
• 5^th set | Bianca Paşca's fourth service ace of the match gave the Bucs an 8-3 lead and forced SLU to burn a timeout. Anastasiia Samokhvalova clinched the match for the Bucs with her 13th kill of the night. 

NOTEWORTHY:.

• Buvinic, Pasca and Kristina Filimonova all recorded double-doubles in the win for Barry. 
• Barry had the second-most digs (82) as a team this season.

The Bucs head over to Tampa to take on the NCAA defending champs. First serve is at 4pm.
