SUMMARY:

  • 3:24 - Antonia Amaya put the Bucs on the board early when he headed in a corner from Lorenzo Cerrai.
  • 5:11 - Less than two minutes later, the Bucs pushed the ball up out of the back. Amponsah Asamoah flicked the ball through to Cristian Fernandez and Fernandez chipped Lion keeper Angel Garcia from 20 yards out.
  • 10:57 - Asamoah was dragged down in the box by Nicholas Thompson and Cerrai converted the penalty kick.
  • 23:27 - Cerrai and Amaya struck again as Cerrai served up the perfect corner and Amaya headed it home.
  • 26:45 - Fernandez carried the ball up the middle and crossed it over to Asamoah in the box. Asamoah deftly wrapped the ball around Garcia for the goal.
  • 29:11 - Stefano Cammarota got into the act, taking the corner from Cerrai and poking the ball inside the near post for the first goal of his career.
  • 78:22 - Jose Romero broke up the clean sheet for the Lions. He pushed the ball up the right side and got off a shot that Barry keeper Alberto Valsecchi blocked, but Romero got the rebound and finished into the empty net.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Valsecchi made six saves in his first career start to earn the win.
  • Garcia had two saves, but conceded six goals, tied for the second-most the Lions have allowed this season.
  • Amaya is just the second Buccaneer to score twice in a game this season.
  • Cerrai's three assists are the most since Frank Lustig had three against Auburn-Montgomery on Oct. 16, 2016, tying the school record.
