Barry currently sits in third place, with games against the two teams ahead of them still remaining. SUMMARY:

  • After a slow start to the Buccaneer offense through the first media timeout, Barry used an 11-0 run to build an eight point lead over the Tars. At the 7:31 mark, Daniel Mortensen and Tylan Birts combined for 22-of-25 points for Barry.
  • The Tars would stay in it and prevent the Bucs from building on that lead, cutting the Barry lead to two heading into the half. Both teams shot under 40 percent in the first half, with seven turnovers a-piece.
  • Marcelo Perez gave the Buccaneers a spark right away as soon as he checked into the game in the second half, his jumper at 16:37 gave Barry an 11 point lead.
  • The three-point barrage by Mortensen continued in the second half. However, with defenders running out at him, he was able to find the open man several times, tallying five-of-his six assists.
