MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry men's basketball team fell 90-85 to the fifth-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks in Sunshine State Conference action from the Health-& Sports Center on Wednesday.

SUMMARY:
- 1st Half - The first half started as a back-and-forth affair with four ties and 12 lead changes. But with the Sharks leading 30-29 with 5:13 left in the period, the Bucs exploded for a 19-7 run over the next four minutes to take an 11-point lead, 48-37. - 2nd Half - The Bucs held that seven point lead at the 12:16 mark, but a 14-5 Shark run gave NSU back the lead at 73-71 on a jumper by Mark Matthews with 8:35 left. Barry never regained the lead. | NSU 90, Barry 85
NOTEWORTHY:
- Milon Sheffield led five Buccaneers in double figures with 15 points. He added a team-high seven assists.
- Isaiah Hobbs and David Moya each tossed in 14 points. Marcelo Perez came off the bench for 12 points and Tylan Birts added 10.
- Matthews led NSU with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Mikkel Kolstad added 21 points and Puisis had 19. David Dennis chipped in 13 points.
- The Sharks out-rebounded the Bucs 43-32, letting them get off 71 shots to 63 for the Bucs.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs will now travel to Melbourne, Fla., to take on Florida Tech on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 4:00 pm.
