WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers fell 2-1 to the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Friday night at Rubin Park in the opener of their Sunshine State Conference series.

- B9: After Richie Sobalvarro drew a lead off walk from PBA starter Mikhail Cazanave, Jonathan Hernandez came in to run. Joey Hennessey relieved Cazenave and retired the next two batters. Garrett Thompson delivered a two-out pinch hit single, but Hernandez was gunned down at the plate by right fielder Jake Summey to end the game.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Cazenave (8-4) worked eight solid innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits and five walks, while striking out six. Hennessey worked a one-hit ninth for his second save.
- Pablo Arevalo (2-5) went 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out four.
