WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Barry University's softball team end their 2018 season after defeating the Tars of Rollins College in both games Saturday afternoon, at Rollins Softball Stadium at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.

Game 1
- T2: Brittany Phillips got the Bucs on the board first, after knocking in Madison VonHagel from third. Barry 1 | Rollins 0
- B2: Lindsay Gehring scored as they Bucs tried picking off the runner who was trying to steal, knotting the game up 1-1. Barry 1 | Rollins 1
- T6: Phillips got her second RBI in the sixth, driving in VonHagel again with a single to center. Sam Busekrus made it a three-run lead after doubling to left field, scoring two. Barry 4 | Rollins 1
- B6: Brianne Lint homered to left field in the sixth, bringing the Tars within two runs of the Buccaneers. Barry 4 | Rollins 2
- T7: VonHagel homered to left center, raking back in that run for the Bucs. Barry 5 | Rollins 2
- B7: Chandler Middlebrook batted in Brianna Ernst in the seventh, but the Bucs stopped the Tars from scoring any more runs to win game one of the doubleheader. Barry 5 | Rollins 3
Game 2
- T1: The Bucs got off to a great start in game two with a four-run lead in the first. VonHagel had a two-run home run to right center, her second of the day. Barry 4 | Rollins 0
- B1: Middlebrook came right back with a two-run home run of her own, cutting Barry's lead to two. Barry 4 | Rollins 2
- T3: Anieliese Palmeiro got one run back for the Bucs, scoring on a throwing error by the catcher. Barry 5 | Rollins 2
- T4: Senior Kristina Osorio homered to center in the fourth, giving the Bucs a four-run lead. Barry 6 | Rollins 2
- B4: The Tars scored three runs in the fourth, bringing them within one run of the Bucs. However, it wasn't enough as the Bucs held on to win the game and the series. Barry 6 | Rollins 5
NOTEWORTHY:
- Christie Falcon (12-10) won game one of the doubleheader for the Bucs, allowing seven hits and three runs in seven innings of pitching.
- Grace Street (16-10) lost the first game for the Tars, giving up five hits and four runs in 3.2 innings.
- Geneva Santos (10-16) grabbed Barry's final win of the season, giving up two hits and five runs to the Tars in game two of the doubleheader.
- Falcon (3) came in to grab her third save of the season in game two for Barry, giving up just three hits in three innings.
- Erin Crawford (1-2) conceded three hits and four runs to the Bucs in one inning in the final game of the series, taking the loss for Rollins.
