SUMMARY:

  • T1: Rollins grabbed an early lead when Nick Breen doubled home Cameron Meehan in the first inning. | Rollins 1, Barry 0
  • T2: Brian Brooker, who was hit by a pitch, scored on a wild pitch to double the lead. | Rollins 2, Barry 0
  • B6: Barry finally got on the board in the sixth. Joel Alvarez walked and Arrison Perez lined a single through the left side. • T7: The Tars responded with a three-run outburst in the seventh, on just one hit. Brooker walked and Joe Cosgrove reached when pitcher Armando Gonzalez's throw to second sailed on shortstop Alexis Monge-Rodriguez. After a strikeout, the Tars had two more walks and a Breen was hit by a pitch. Nick Santucci delivered an RBI single, but reliever Blaine Duncan (2-0) got Luke Reidy to ground into a double play to get out of the jam.  | Rollins 5, Barry 1
  • B7: The Bucs got their big rally started when Ryan Baldwin launched an opposite-field homer to left off Case. After a single by Richie Sobalvarro and a double by pinch hitter Garrett Thompson, the Bucs went to the bench again, bringing in big Paul Salata to hit for Monge-Rodriguez. Salata sent a 2-2 pitch from Case over the left field wall to knot the game at 5-5. Reliever Brian Auerbach (1-1) recorded an out, but then committed the same error that Case had, throwing the ball down the right field line on a grounder by Perez. • T9: Daniel Broeseker worked a perfect ninth to record his seventh save. He struck out Breen to end the game.
