Softball Falls Short To Nova

Bucs take on Eckerd tomorrow and Saturday

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Barry University's softball team dropped the conference series against the Nova Southeastern Sharks Thursday night with a 6-2 loss at the AD Griffin Sports Complex.

SUMMARY:

  • T1: The Bucs scored their only two runs of the game in the first inning. Anieliese Palmeiro and Madison VonHagel each batted in a run to take the early two-run lead. Barry 2 | Nova 0
  • B1: The Sharks bit back immediately with two runs of their own to tie the game 2-2. Barry 2 | Nova 2
  • B4: Nova scored three more runs in the fourth to break the tie. Nova 5 | Barry 2
  • B6: Dana Edmundson singled up the middle in the sixth to bring in one last run for the Sharks, extending their lead to four. Nova 6 | Barry 2

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Lynsey Duncan (1-3) gave up five hits and five runs in four innings to take the loss for the Bucs.
  • Lexie Storrer (11-17) allowed five hits and two runs in seven innings, picking up the series win for the Sharks.

ON THE HORIZON:

Barry will get right back into it and head to St. Petersburg, FL Friday and Saturday take on the Eckerd College Tritons, at the Turley Athletic Complex.
