TAMPA, Fla. -- Barry University baseball dropped both ends of a Sunshine State Conference doubleheader to the seventh-ranked Tampa Spartans on Saturday at UT Baseball Field. The Spartans took game one 13-2 and the nightcap 9-3.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Mike Miles (2-2) took the loss in game one. He was not able to record an out and allowed three runs (one earned).
- Jonathan Hernandez (1-5) took the loss in relief in game two. He allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits in 3.2 innings.
- Keven Pimental (7-1) went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts to win game one.
- Clay Helvey (2-0) worked five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and three walks in game two.
- Mark Moclair put in four innings to earn his fourth save.
