MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's men's tennis team won its 10th match of the season Saturday, beating Queens (N.Y.), 5-1.
The Buccaneers won the bottom two doubles matches, and clinched it with three singles match victories.

- Daniel Ventura put the first win on the board for the Bucs in singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Roman Laga at the No. 3 spot.
- Bayldon beat Richard Sec, 6-0, 7-5, to make it 4-1.
- Eighth-ranked Carlos Gomez beat Gabriel Mendez, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles to wrap it up.
- Filip Zupancic and Matias Larregina were both leading their No. 2 and 5 singles matches, respectively, when Gomez clinched.Â
NOTEWORTHY:
- Zupancic was a game away from winning his first singles match.
- The Buccaneers have lost six times at No. 1 doubles.Â
- Gomez moved over the .500 mark in singles play, and remained .500 in pairs play.

Barry will host Florida Tech Sunday at 1 p.m.
