MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers rolled to their eighth straight win, pounding the Panthers of Adelphi University 13-4 on Thursday night in baseball action from Feinbloom Field.

- B6: The Bucs put on a two-out rally in the sixth. Joel Alvarez walked and stole second. She scored as Quintana followed with a single. Baldwin reached on an error by third baseman Brett Malm, allowing Quintana to score. Thompson walked and Paul Salata came through with a two-run double. NOTEWORTHY:
- Israel Cordero (1-1) worked the first three innings in a split game to earn the win. He allowed only one hit and struck out three.
- Palmerini took the loss for the Panthers, allowing six runs on nine hits and a walk in 3.2 innings.
- Quintana had two hits and drove in four to lead the Bucs.
- Rapoza, Thompson, Salata and Monge-Rodriguez also had a pair of hits each. Thompson, Salata and Perez also drove in two runs.
- Becker was 3-for-3 for the Panthers.
- Barry has now won eight straight and are over .500 on the season.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs jump back into Sunshine State Conference play on Friday as they open the series at Lynn on the road at 3:00 p.m.
