MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's 2nd-ranked men's tennis team defeated the Division I Vikings of Cleveland State, 6-1, on Tuesday to improve their record to 9-1 on the season.

DOUBLES
- Pierre Montrieul and Blake Bayldon started the Bucs off with their first point of the day, defeating Mirko Radosevic and Jack Santilli from CSU, 8-1.
- Barry's duo of Flavio Matteoli and Filip Zupancic kept the doubles streak going with a 8-4 victory over CSU's Nico Mostardi and Benjamin Slade.
- Carlos Gomez and Vivien Versier won Barry's third doubles match of the day against Cleveland's Luke Phillips and William Malm, 9-8 (7-3).
SINGLES
- Barry's Bayldon defeated Gabriel Evtimov of Cleveland State, 6-2, 6-1, completing the first singles match.
- Martin Gutierrez beat William Malm, 6-2, 6-2, to win Barry's second singles match in a row.
- Montrieul took down CSU's Phillips, 7-5, 6-3.
- Cleveland got their only point when Nico Mostardi beat #8 Carlos Gomez, 7-5, 6-1.
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs have now beaten three NCAA Division I teams this Spring.
- This was third match in a row where the Bucs had three or more singles victories over their opponents.
- Barry return to conference play this Sunday as they take on FIT.
